Wow, I'm so sorry John. I can't imagine what that feels like but I do think about the possibility as I spend countless hours trying to restore mine, how it can all be ruined in seconds.

How are you feeling? Something similar happened to me in my Super Beetle years ago. I waved off any medical care right after but 3 days later I could barely walk. Whiplash and a bulging disc in my back were found once the adrenaline and shock wore off. Be careful and listen to your body. It'll tell you if anything isn't right. Took me about 6 months to get back to my normal level of activity.

EricThank you. Youre doing an extraordinary job on your resto and all I can say is that all we can do is our best to drive defensively and enjoy the car. It sucks when someone else determines our fate and makes a decision that costs us but we cant not enjoy our cars after all of the work.

MikeThanks for the concern. One of the ploys of insurance companies Im afraid is to wave the settlement money early to avoid the costs that dont show up right away. My wife had a similar occurrence on two separate accidents years ago when other drivers ran stop signs and to this day she still has the occasional neck soreness as a result. I didnt have time to tense up as my eyes were focused straight ahead on a green signal at the intersection. He sped up when he realized he ran the red apparently as he admitted guilt and thought his chances were better to speed up rather than slow down. Didnt work out well for me...

There is a 'standard' description: A yellow light accelerator met a green light anticipator. Result? Messy intersection.

No anticipation on my part. Green light before I entered. His was a red light accelerator and it was indeed messy.
