Plugging away a little at a time. My wife’s vision is still sub-par following her tumor removal surgery. Definitely better after a couple months of recovery but driving is not going to happen anytime soon. Time to work on the car is slightly more challenging as all errands require my chauffeur skills. No complaints. Forces me to slow down and take my time with the GT. I had to strip the paint off the oil pan again when the finish started to crackle. I had it all painted and a couple coats of clear to boot but screwed up. Tried to paint the color over an area that had a small scratch and then applied clear over it. Ugh. My OCD kicked in and I decided to strip it and start over. I had to wait on a few parts anyways so it all worked out. So, I got the finished pan on with the new gasket and rolled the engine upright to start bolting on a few things. Oil sender cleaned up and a new hose installed, dipstick cleaned up, alternator bracket is being painted and after that goes on, it’s about time to get it on the ground and get the back end stuff installed. Oil seal retainer, new spigot bush, release bearing, pressure plate and then the OD.
Camping trip in a couple days so nothing will happen until next weekend but after COVID closed everything down for so long, it’s good to get away.
