That's a beautiful pic with the barn. For the license lamps: they ground through the body, which I didn't like. In mine I added a separate ground lead for each and ran them in to the boot. There's an entry in my journal if you're interested.

Thanks Peter! I went down the proverbial rabbit hole when I bought the car. It needed a clutch so one thing led to another.Worth it in my eyes anyways. Cheers!

I just began the process of refitting a new dash cover to my dash. The gauges are rebuilt by West Valley Instruments. I am taking apart my old dash now. Special concerns about the disassembly? Thanks for your posts.Dan

Hi Daniel. Just take lots of reference photos. I didnt have much to go on as far as disassembly goes. I used a heat gun and tried to peel the vinyl off as carefully as possible to save the foam. I was told to leave the foam on by the shop where I purchased the dash pad. They were partially right. Just the rigid foam on the pillow stays and once I found that out, it made a lot more sense. Happy to answer any questions you might have.

Sounds like quite a challenge due to the new pad not being quite identical. It looks great in the photo! Mine is a pillow dash as well, I'm hoping I can retain the original pad. Thanks for sharing the process.

Thank you! It was actually fun. I took my sweet time on it and it was worth it in the long run.
