I had a white 1500 just like this one in my twenties. It too had the incorrect 1600 side curtains as well as the red piping on the seats that were supposed to be white to match the color of the car. I rebuilt my 1489cc engine after spinning a bearing. You fitted a later 1600 to yours. looking at this car sure feels like I'm in a time machine. Does your car pull a little bit to one side whenever you apply the brakes? Does it have drums front and rear?

I has new front calipers on the front and drums in the rear. It does not pull when you hit the brakes. The 1600 is a nice add and the car did not come with side curtains. I bought them from Moss because I like driving in the winter as long as the roads are dry and salt is washed off like it is currently in Omaha.

is the replacement engine a 1588cc (16 GA) or 1622cc (16GC) ??..I note the car also has a 1600Mk2 dash board.. nice 'add on' upgrade..
