“Beauty”
............................................SOLD...............................................
Excellent example of a very original car with numerous mechanical refreshes. Previous owner spent thousands of dollars and touched many areas of the car. Car shows very well having had a quality body respray years ago that remains shiny and attractive. The rest of the car appears to have original paint to include the engine bay and trunk. I would classify this car as a survivor as it seems very original. Since I bought the car in March of 2018, I’ve replaced all four shocks with the Worldwide Auto Parts units with upgraded seals. I also replaced the steering wheel with a really nice wood unit. I kept the original wheel that requires restoration to be safe. Car starts and drives well. Like most MGAs I’ve driven, the second gear synchro requires double clutching for smooth down shifts. Also the vintage Blaupunkt radio isn’t working.
This is a really attractive car that is very sleek without the fender mirrors. There are normal paint chips here and there that could be greatly improved with a quality detail and paint touch up.
I have many photos of the car and repair bills upon request. Car is kept in my garage in Poway California, 30 minutes from downtown San Diego.
