I had to Google the spray cans you are using, pretty slick! Best product you could use I'd say, without going hog wild.

Looks like you are well under way.. one very good 'base' product to seal metal, prevent rust forming and prep for color is Duple-Color 'self etching primer' readily available in rattle cans form most of the major parts stores..the green version is VERY good at preventing rust from re-forming.. and it holds up very well over time too.. for the black components I find the 'SEM' black self etching primer (larger rattle cans..more than double the price of dupli-color) to be the perfect product.. it sticks to anything without reacting.. on underside I dont use anything asap 'finish' coat over this product.. but on pedal boxes firewall sealing plates etc I use Ace Hardware 'semi gloss' 'professional finish' black in the tall rattle cans.... it looks very good and matches OEM finish on those black parts..

Thanks Eric. Pretty happy with it other than I applied some in a hot garage and it lost its glossy appearance. Supposed to be cooler tomorrow so Ill hit it again.

Thanks Timothy. Im using that Dupli-color etch primer on the heater box, horns, pedal box, etc. and its working well. The Zero Rust paint on product allowed me to be a little more precise about where I wanted it. The Dupli-color semi-gloss Acrylic Laquer black is a close match to the original and Im happy with its well.
