I went off for an extended vacation and forgot to do a journal update before I left., but I busy and got a lot accomplished just before leaving.
Install new fuel tank - Done
Install new fuel pump - Done
Install radiator - Done
Install new Exhaust - Done
Connect and fill the master cylinder for the clutch and brakes - Done
Since I got back I've been working on testing the electrical system. I used two 6 volt lantern batteries to do some testing on lights and connections, they were mostly good but I found a few issues I needed to correct.
Which leads up to today, I installed a battery and did some more testing. Most systems seems to work, headlights, running lights, hazard lights went on (but I have a few bad bulbs and bad flasher unit)
But the big news is that I was able to complete a compression test on the engine, it turned over nicely and the test was ok for now:
A few days ago I but some MMO down the cylinders and I'm not sure if that helped or may have changed the results but this is what I got.
I did the test twice,
Cylinder #1 - 152 - 112
Cylinder #2 - 148 - 125
Cylinder #3 - 135 - 145
Cylinder #4 - 135 - 140
I don't know about that cylinder #1 seems like a huge change between the first run and the second. Would putting MMO make such a big difference(i.e. it is in for the first test but by the time I do the 2nd test it is all removed?) that would sort of make sense for both #1 and #2 went down.
Anyways It isn't enough to stop me now, next step start up.
