It's so easy to let go some minor details! I finally picked up a vacuum cap assortment and replaced the ugly invention that was blocking off the vacuum port that originally would go to the PCV/gulp valve/whatever it was. I also drilled a hole in a smaller cap and capped the rocker cover nipple just to kind of make it look like it is meant to be that way. AND finally put the Coopers decals on the air cleaners that have been kicking around for at least a year. I became motivated since British Car Day in Hudson was coming up fast. I convinced myself that these things were the reason I didn't win last year lol
I had planned to exactly center the coopers decals and had used masking tape to mark locations etc. That plan was derailed when I realized that the snorkel on the rear can interferes with the length of the decal. I offset it toward the front of the car to compensate, I'll have to look at original MG to see if it should be placed centered and just closer to the engine or what. Or I more likely will never get around to it..
