I had been running the OEM exhaust mount with the Monza exhaust, and the rubber has separated where it was bonded to the steel.
I had drilled and put through bolts to sandwich the steel plates and the rubber and this worked, but boy was it stiff. I ran it this way for the first two seasons, but I decided to see if I could come up with something that would provide a bit more isolation.
I cut a piece of radiator hose in half, doubled it up, and bolted it in place. stuff I had on hand, so we will see how it works. Ultimately I'd like to get a different exhaust, but not for what they cost. I wanted to use a commercially available universal exhaust hanger, but looking at pics it seemed like they would all be too big. Moss carries a replacement mount, but the fit on the Monza system isn't great so I'm not convinced I could get it to line up anyway.
Also working on the rear shock, they leak like crazy. I pressed the bushing back in to the shock link, we will see if it stays or walks back out like it was in the pic in my previous post.
I had leaks at the rear axle tubes and traced it down to the flanges where the bearing cap bolts to the axle tube. The seals aren't leaking because the backing plates are dry on the inside.
When I had replaced the seals during the restoration, I never thought to put sealant on those flanges, so I took it apart and applied non-hardening aviation Permatex. It sure is a treat to work on this car, everything comes apart so easily!
