Spent some more time working my way around the car with Meguiar’s Ultimate compound and have a couple more panels to do and then follow up with polish. The roof, back end, and driver’s side are already polished but I ran out so just decided to finish all of the compound and then double back and hit the areas that need polish. Time consuming even with the machine.

Got the car pushed into the garage and the rear up on jack stands so that I could get to the fuel pump. I have power at the white lead and the ground is good so the pump is definitely not playing nice but 34 years of inactivity will do that. Got the pump out and cleaned it up some but need to do more before I do an autopsy on it. I know where I can get a working pump real cheap. Time to check out Dave Dubois’s SU pumps articles and see what the master wrote about them. RIP Dave.
