Personally, I would eliminate the mechanical fuel pump (in favor of electric) and install a blanking plate on the block. SU HS2 or HS4 carbs, or even a Weber side-draft DCOE 40 or 45 over the down-draft. Also, I would loosly install the driver-side motor mount on the car itself, then tighten it up after the engine is installed. The clearances are way too tight, otherwise. (You have to slightly "roll" the engine into the "V" of the mount.) You'll see...
